When wealth and power transfer into darkness

Pounding on my hotel door, brought me out of my zone immediately. I stayed in my room after Pamela’s unwanted disclosure, making calls that ranged from Oklahoma to Mexico, constructing a plan that would get Sasha and Mario away from the madness that had been gradually building within the last year and which felt it could explode into a fucking avalanche at any moment.

I took a deep breath before standing up from my laptop, quickly stretching out my stiff back. A nice massage from Sasha would be butter to my pancakes, but I allowed that thought to quickly dissipate as I was certain it wasn’t the love of my life behind my door banging on it at that moment.

After looking through the peephole, I opened the door to Tony and Leonard who filed in. The look on their faces was less than encouraging. Before they spoke, I held up my hand. “Should we have drinks first?”

Tony sternly shook his head. “No, brother. Sobriety would be good.”

I sighed deeply and we all fell into the couch cushions. I sat closest to the window where I had been working and the fellas sat in front of me on the love seat.
