When wealth and power transfer into darkness

I slept, if you want to call it that, like shit.

My primary concern was getting Sasha and Mario away from this life that had now turned into some kind of black hole. I sat at the desk in my room, writing out my thoughts and different scenarios that could play out, if we as a company didn’t make the proper moves. I calculated and recalculated the equations of Harris and Pamela’s affair, retracting the money agreed upon to Gambini, and me being in love with my best friend’s wife and father of his son.

Needless, to say, it broke my mind a bit and I finally fell into a dreamless sleep. I can’t tell what time I went to sleep, but after the banging on the door woke me up, it felt like all of an hour.

I dragged myself from the top of my made-up bed, still wearing the clothes from the previous evening. I opened the door, not attempting to stifle the huge yawn that escaped me as Leonard stood in front of me with an amused look on his face.

“I take it, that you slept well,” Leonard grinned as I stepped aside and allowed him into my hotel suite.

“Yeah, like I was still in the womb snugged tight.”

We all had sitting rooms and two bedrooms in each of our hotel suites. The sitting…
